Actor David Mitchell placed an advertisement to announce his engagement to girlfriend and poker hostess Victoria Coren Tuesday.
The rather traditional announcement featured under the “Births, Marriages and Deaths” column of the Times of London read:
'The engagement is announced between David, son of Mr and Mrs Ian Mitchell, of Oxford, and Victoria, daughter of Dr Anne Coren and the late Mr Alan Coren, of London.'

Poker pro Phil Galfond was this past weekend’s biggest winner, banking $767,701 in profit spread across 118 sessions.
Another of this past weekend’s big winners included Viktor Blom, taking in $254,580.
The biggest losers, as observed by PokerNews.com, were “MaiseE’s”, who managed to drop $468,567, Davin “mTw-DaviN” Georgi, who lost $460,348 and Jens “Jeans89” Kyllönen, who lost $339,779.

Poker player Moon Kim is the winner of the 2012 WPT Bay 101 event and takes home $960,000 after battling it out with Ubaid Habid, who finished 2nd and leaves with $570,220.

After finishing in 2nd place in three of last year’s World Series of Poker tournaments, Phil Hellmuth has finally actually won a tournament, his first in five years.
Hellmuth won the 2012 LA Poker Classic $2080 Buy-In 8-Game Mixed Tournament early Wednesday morning.
This was Hellmuth’s first victory since winning the 2007 World Series of Poker $1500 No-Limit Hold’em Event for $637,254.

Mickey Petersen Wins EPT Copenhagen 2012

The win netted Selbst $140,295. To date, her live tournament winnings exceed $4.7 million. She has had 34 cashes and 7 first place finishes including last April’s $450,000 payday at the PokerStars NAPT Mohegan Sun Season 2 Main Event.
