Penn State Ohio State Spread Set at -6.5 in Favor Buckeyes Amidst Turmoil

The Penn State Ohio State spread is reflective of the recent sex scandal that has left Penn State traumatized.  The Nittany Lions are still a ranked team at 21 with only two losses, one of which came last week after long time head coach Joe Paterno was fired.  Penn State is listed as a +6 point road underdog whereby they would otherwise have come in as the likely favorite under better circumstances.  This game can be bet at BetOnline.com.<

Matt Schaub Out for Rest of Season for Houston Texans: Latest AFC South Odds

It was revealed Monday night that Houston Texans starting quarterback Matt Schaub will be out for the season with a Lisfranc injury.

Schaub was injured on a quarterback sneak coming out of the end zone late in the second quarter of Houston's 37-9 win over Tampa Bay on Sunday. Schaub stayed in the game, but threw only three passes.

Matt Leinart will start for the Texans on November 27.  Leinart is obviously no Matt Schaub however.

The Texans have the NFL's No. 1 defense (269.7 yards per game) and the third-best rushing offense (158.1 yards per game).

Bettors Will Miss Joe Paterno, In Bowls he was $$$ in the Bank

Say what you want about disgraced fired former Penn State head coach Joe Paterno--gamblers loved him!

Especially when it came to bowl season.

JoePa and the Nittany Lions football team in a post-season game was the closest thing to money in the bank for many a sports bettor for many a year.

So successful in fact was Paterno in bowl games that there was a maxim in college football circles that went: "Give Joe Paterno two weeks to prepare and he can beat anyone."
