Japan's Gambling Bill Stalls Following Political Unrest

The push to legalise casino gambling in Japan has stalled once again following a fresh batch of political scandals. Despite Prime Minister Shinzo Abe's desire to have the industry regulated before the end of 2014, it now seems that a new gaming bill won't be passed until the start of 2015 at the earliest.

4 Mistakes to Avoid When Building Reputation in the Online Gambling Industry

In online gaming – and any other business, little is more important to a company than their reputation. It drives sales, brings in new customers, and allows a business to flourish.

Social casinos vs. Real money outlets

Casino games have slowly become some of the most popular ones online. They are no longer restricted to online casinos only - several social games developers have launched their own suites that can be played on social networks like Facebook. Zynga, the best known Facebook game developer (the one responsible for titles like CityVille and FarmVille) has launched several such titles - the Zynga Poker, the Zynga Slots, the Zynga Casino and the Hit It Rich Casino, among others. And they are not the only developer with such games.

Why I like Microgaming above all other developers

Microgaming is almost like a legendary company in the world of online casinos. First it was an operator - it has launched the first fully functional real money online casino back in 1994 - and then it has abandoned its online casinos, and turned to developing software for other online casinos. Now it is the software provider with the biggest variety of games in its offer.

How Regulated Gambling Can Boost the Economy

In recent years, there has been a lot of focus on the potential impacts of a legalised worldwide gambling market. As more and more countries and U.S. states start to regulate the market to their residents, there have been calls from both critics and supporters of its possible effects.

One major argument for supporters is the major boost real-money gaming can provide to the economy. Since back in 1850, when gambling was legalised in Macau, governments have been reaping the benefits of a licensed gaming industry.
