Jay Tan Re-Signs With Bodog Poker
Female poker player Jay Tan has renegotiated her contract to continue on as a Team Bodog poker pro for the remainder of 2013.
While a money earner online, the Australian player’s first real live tournament success came this past January with a 7th place finish at the Aussie Millions Main Event that resulted in a $157,745 cash.
Tom Christopher Wins 2013 DeepStacks Poker Tour Patriot Poker Classic
Tom Christopher was announced as the winner of the 2013 DeepStacks Poker Tour Patriot Poker Classic Main Event Tuesday and will take home $54,392. Joe Starratt finished 2nd with $38,117.
The event took place at Connecticut’s Mohegan Sun Casino and featured a field of 167 entries with a guaranteed prize pool of $218,687.
Christopher, a Las Vegas-based poker player, has had 34 cashes to 4 wins to date on the live poker circuit. Despite those impressive numbers, his total earnings prior to Tuesday were just $119,658.
Rocco Palumbo Wins WPT Venice Grand 2013: Mike Sexton Finishes Third
Italian poker player Rocco Palumbo has won the WPT Venice Grand 2013, bringing is live tournament earnings up to just over $1 million.
Palumbo did have three small cashes so far this year leading up to this event. He did win $464,464 and a World Series of Poker bracelet last summer.
Noted poker player and personality Mike Sexton won a cool $69,723, finishing 3rd at the WPT Venice Grand.
In all, 173 players took part in this year’s event.

Poker Pro Billy Baxter Wins $400k Tiger Woods Bet
Seven-time World Series of Poker bracelet winner Billy Baxter has won $400,000 on a bet that Tiger Woods would once again regain the number one golf ranking in the world.
Woods lost his number one standing in October 2000 following a series of highly publicized scandals involving extramarital affairs.

Allen Kessler Wins WSOP Circuit Lodge Casino 2013
Allen “Chainsaw” Kessler won the World Series of Poker Circuit Lodge Casino 2013 Monday night and his second WSOP circuit ring.
Kessler also walked away with $20,859.

Following an appearance by NRA head Wayne LaPierre on NBC’s “Meet The Press”, one of the biggest money makers in poker, Eric Seidel, offered up this angry tweet:
"Drop a drone on Wayne Lapierre, please. He's a much greater threat to American lives then any terrorist, (sic)"
Dinesh Alt Wins ANZPT Season 5 Sydney (Video)
The winner of the ANZPT Season 5 Sydney is Dinesh Alt, a relative unknown on the live poker circuit who managed to deny Dejan Divkovic back-to-back victories at this event.
Alt walked away with $226,320 for his efforts.
Paris Hilton’s ex and star of that now notorious sex tape, Rick Solomon, finished in 9th place after making the final table.

Poker pro Dan Shak has won the PartyPoker Premier League VI Final.
Among those making the PartyPoker Premier League VI Final Table in addition to Shak were Antonio Esfandiari, Jennifer Tilly, Dan Cates, Jonathan Duhamel, Tobia Reinkemeier (who led with chips coming into Saturday night’s final), Talal Shakerchi and Sam Trickett.

CardPlayer.com is reporting that Finnish poker pro Patrik Antonius managed an impressive $1.1 million run on Full Tilt Poker this past week.

The 24-year-old from Rotterdam won his seat for just £320 in a Deep Hyper-Turbo satellite on PokerStars. He beat Lithuanian Mantas Visockis heads-up to take down the tournament which started last Sunday with 647 players and a £3,137,950 prize pool.

Kai Chang Wins 2013 WPT Bay 101 Shooting Star and Over $1.1 Million
Kai Chang has won the 2013 WPT Bay 101 Shooting Star and a grand prize of $1,138,350. Among the finalists for this event was Erik Seidel who, with life time earnings in live tournaments now at just over $17 million, ranks 2nd as poker’s biggest earner to date.
Chang also managed to upset Paul Volpe, who has taken in just shy of $1.6 million at live tournaments to date.
