EPT Season 9 Schedule Unveiled
The European Poker Tour (EPT) Season 9 schedule was released by sponsor Poker Stars Wednesday. The schedule will feature more variety of games and an enhanced online qualification.
“EPT Season 9 will bring a new level of innovation to our tour and will enhance the experience for all players,” said EPT President Edgar Stuchly.

Both the winner and runner-up in this prestigious event will become a millionaire (if they aren't already!; first prize is €1,640,000 for first; six places are being paid.
Tommy Vedes Wins the WPT Seminole Hard Rock Showdown 2012
Tommy Vedes wins the WPT Seminole Hard Rock Showdown, earning $779,520, which includes his $25,500 entry into the season-ending WPT World Championship. Vedes gets his name engraved on the WPT Champions Cup, and receives a WPT Champions Trophy, a Seminole Hard Rock trophy, and a silver Tiffany card protector.
With the win, Vedes lifetime earnings on the live poker circuit are now well over $3 million.
This will be his 49th cashout and 5th 1st place finishes.

Approaching the early morning hours of Tuesday April 24, three recognizable names duke it out during the final of the 2012 EPT Seminole Hard Rock Showdown. It came down to Tommy Vedes vs. John Dolan.

After making his final table appearance recently at the ANZPT Sydney event, Oliver Speidel continues to dominate with a lead at the APT Philippines 2012 after Day 1A.
LockOPS Cancelled
The highly anticipated LockOPS Lock Online Poker Series, initially scheduled for May (2012), has been cancelled by Merge Gaming, the poker network that hosts Lock Poker, Gambling911.com can reveal.
As of this morning Merge has officially cancelled LOCKOPS and revoked previous approval given to Lock to run the series, according to a Lock Poker spokesperson.
This series was planned for several months and the network had given full approval.
It was not immediately clear what lead up to this decision.
2012 WPT Seminole Hard Rock Showdown Day 4 Results: John Dolan Still Up There
John Dolan has refused to back down at this year’s WPT Seminole Hard Rock Showdown where he still ranked among the top 5 chip leaders after Day 4.
15 players remained after Day 4 of this popular WPT stopover.
The current chip leader was Joe Serock, whose biggest finish was 2nd place and $341,783 at the 40th World Series of Poker 2009 - Event #19 - WSOP No Limit Hold'em Six Handed.
Second place chip leader Robert Georato came in third place at last year’s Florida Million with a take of $55,000.
Davidi Kitai Wins 2012 EPT Berlin
Belgian poker player Davidi Kitai has won the 2012 European Poker Tour (EPT) Berlin.
The 32-year-old from Brussels went heads-up with Andrew Chen to take the win and €712,000 cash.
“It’s amazing to win! I’m feeling great. I didn’t expect to beat that field and it was a very tough final table. I’m going to celebrate with all my friends in Belgium, and in France, and we’re going to celebrate in Monte Carlo for sure.”
This was Kitai’s second EPT final – he came in third at EPT Barcelona in Season 5 for €455,000.

John Dolan remained a force at this week’s WPT Seminole Hard Rock Showdown after Day 2, coming in as the 4th biggest chip leader.
Dolan is one of the most successful players on the live circuit today with $2.5 million in total winnings to date. This includes 23 cashes and 3 first place finishes.

US player Allan Le has won Asia’s biggest buy-in tournament ever, the Manila Millions 2012 and a grand prize of HKD $13,080,000 (USD $1.685 million).
31 players in total entered the HKD $1 million (USD $128,000) buy-in including the likes of Phil Ivey, John Juanda, Tom Dwan, Johnny Chan and APT Ambassadors Joe Hachem, JC Tran and Nam Le.
Poker fans across the globe were treated to live streaming video of the event (with a slight time delay).

We now know the EPT Berlin 2012 final table and it promises to be a good one. Finalists include the likes of Andrew Chen and David Kitai, both of whom have made final tables in previous European Poker Tour events.

The winner of the April 27, 2012 Tiger’s Poker Night will win a once-in-a-lifetime foursome of golf with Tiger Woods.

The Thrilla in Manila as First Ever Manila Millions Super High Roller to be Held Friday
In a matter of hours, 25 players are expected to compete for a piece of the $3,000,000 plus prize pool at the first ever Manila Millions Super High Roller tournament, kicking off the 2012 Asian Poker Tour.
Phil Ivey, Tom Dwan, Johnny Chan, John Juanda, Andrew Robl and Sam Trickett were among those slated to take part in the HKD$1,000,000 ($129,000) buy-in tournament. A handful of wealthy businesspersons were also likely to join the pros in Friday’s event.

With the conclusion of the EPT Berlin 2012 Day 1a, a total of 243 players had entered at the Grand Hyatt Berlin. The Main Event is running from April 16-21, 2012.
Quebec’s own Will Molson managed to finish the day as the second biggest chip leader behind relative newbie David Yan.

The EPT Berlin 2012 tournament has gotten underway with an expanded space for play.
Among those in attendance early on included noted pros Barney Boatman, Scott Seiver, Barry Greenstein and Vanessa Selbst. German player Jan Heitmann and Quebec's Will Molsen were also taking part early on.
Last year’s EPT Berlin was much more subdued with Ben Wilinofsky taking home the €825,000 after beating a 773-strong field. The prize this year is expected to flirt with the one million mark.
