PokerStars qualifier Ben “NeverScaredB” Wilinofsky from Canada celebrated his first ever live cash today by winning EPT Berlin for €825,000.
As well as the title, Wilinofsky, a highly successful internet pro, also wins a stunning bracelet from Shamballa Jewels, the Official Bracelet Sponsor of EPT Season 7, a seat to the EPT Grand Final in Madrid and a seat in the EPT Champion of Champions event on May 13.
EPT Berlin Final Table 2011 Determined
The EPT Berlin Final Table for 2011 has been decided with 8 seats and 6 different country representations. Three of the eight finalists reside in the host country of Germany.
The PokerStars.comsponsored EPT Berlin made headlines last year when a brazen armed robbery occurred just as the final table was winding down. Let’s hope there is not a repeat of that situation this year. All suspects in that robbery have since been captured.
2011 EPT Berlin: 24 Players Remain
German poker player Daniel Pidun led the pack at the 2011 EPT Berlin after Day 3 with only 24 players left out of 773. Pidun is not a household name in the world of poker.
Germany still had 7 representatives among the 24 left, including the second place position. Russia, Sweden and Italy also enjoyed strong showings with a total of three Russians and two Swedes and Italians each. The only remaining US player was Jeffrey Hakim while Costa Rica had a PokerStars qualifier, Luis Jaikel. Costa Rica is the hub of online poker sites catering to North American players.
