Hokies Horrible at Home

The Virginia Tech Hokies have been costing their backers lots of cash at home and now the Duke Blue Devils are coming to town.

The Hokies are just 2-7 against the spread at home and they haven't covered there since they beat Boston College, 79-71 on January 17th as 3 ½-point favorites.

Things aren't going to get much easier on Saturday afternoon at 3:30 pm ET. That's when the #7 Duke Blue Devils show up in a game nationally televised on ABC.

NCAA College Basketball Betting: Hummel to Spark Purdue?

The health of star forward Robbie Hummel could be the key as the Purdue Boilermakers host the Michigan State Spartans on Tuesday night.

Hummel missed three games with a stress fracture in his lower back and the Boilermakers were a different team without him, going 1-2 straight-up and ATS. Hummel was able to return Saturday off the bench and give the team 24 minutes, but Purdue could only muster a 49-45 win at Iowa, failing to cover the five-point spread.

College Basketball Betting: UConn dead without Dyson?

The injury to Connecticut Huskies guard Jerome Dyson could have a big effect on their Monday night home game versus the Pittsburgh Panthers.

Dyson is out indefinitely with a knee injury suffered in last Wednesday's game against Syracuse. He was the second leading scorer on the team with an average of 13.2 points per game, and was third in rebounding (4.1 per game) and second in assists (3.2 per game).

College Basketball Betting: UCLA Bruins Red Hot

The UCLA Bruins (19-4) look for their 5th straight win and cover on Thursday night, but it won't be easy against their Pac-10 rivals, the Arizona State Sun Devils.

UCLA has parlayed their winning streak into the # 11 ranking in the AP and 6th in the ESPN coaches poll. It's a little surprising that the AP sportswriters have them ranked that much lower, and the Bruins will be looking to send a message.
