The Social Network vs. The Kings Speech Oscar Best Picture Odds: Prediction
Best Director Odds 2011 Oscars: David Fincher and Tom Hooper Co-Favorites
Oscars 2011 Odds Best Actress: Natalie Portman 1/10 Favorite
When it comes to Oscar 2011 odds for Best Actress, Natalie Portman appears to be a pretty big “lock” at 1/10 or -1000 odds for her performance in The Black Swan.
Her closest competitor is Annette Bening for The Kids Are All Right. Bening would pay out $30 for every $10 bet. All odds were courtesy of Sportsbook.com here.
2011 Oscars Best Supporting Actor Odds: Christian Bale Another Big Favorite
Odds to Win Best Picture 2011 Oscars: Kings Speech, The Social Network
The odds to win the Best Picture award at the 2011 Oscars had two favorites that were now starting to close the gap a bit.
The Social Network, which initially opened as the favorite, currently had odds of -350, requiring a $35 bet to win $10 at Bookmaker.com (the $35 will be refunded should the bet be a winner).
The official favorite, however, is The Kings Speech, which had odds of -700
Gaddafi Son Al-Saadi Financing Mafia Film
The son of Libya strongman Muammar al-Gaddafi, Al-Saadi Gaddafi, is financing a film about the Mafia as part of his Hollywood investment business.
Bloomberg reported that Al-Saadi, a one-time footballer suspended by the Italian Olympic league in 2003 for steroid use, invested in a $100 million Los Angeles-based film production fund called Natural Selection, founded by Matty Beckerman.
2011 Oscar Odds for Best Actor: No Worth for Colin Firth
When it comes to the 2011 Oscar odds for Best Actor and wagering on Colin Firth to win for The King’s Speech, Gambling911.com says “forgetaboutit”.
It’s not that he won’t win…he will. Therein lies the problem as Colin Firth is the biggest “lock” in Oscar betting history since online gambling sites started offering odds on the event.
SBG Global had Firth listed at -10000 odds, which essentially makes it impossible to place a wager on the star.

Did Philadelphia Eagles Force Michael Vick to Cancel Oprah Interview
The Philadelphia Eagles deny they ordered starting quarterback Michael Vick to cancel an interview Thursday with Oprah Winfrey.
Michael Vick’s agent had agreed to allow Oprah Winfrey a sit down interview with the disgraced NFL quarterback now on the “road to redemption” only if she would cancel a bet with CNN’s Piers Morgan. The two had wagered on who got the first crack at a Vick interview. Vick was charged and imprisoned for running a dog fighting ring that encompassed gambling.
