Brian Hastings continues to add both to his reputation and legacy.

The high-stakes cash game player from Hanover Township, PA won the 2015 Seven-Card Stud World Championship, widely-recognized as such because it’s the highest buy-in tournament of this form of poker held each year.  Not coincidentally, Seven-Card Stud has been a staple of home games in the northeastern United States, where Hastings first developed his poker roots, for many decades.

Pennsylvania One Step Closer to Legalizing Internet Poker

NJ Online Gambling Finally Starting to Take Off a Bit After Slow Start

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (Associated Press) — Internet gambling is off to a slow start in the United States, with banks hesitant to handle credit card payments for online bets and some politicians and casino moguls pushing to ban it, but there remains potential for great growth, participants in a major gambling conference agreed Wednesday.

Despite the nascent industry's many challenges, including illegal offshore websites that casinos admit are easier to use, gradual improvements are happening, they said.

PokerStars Parent Company Amaya to Begin Trading on Nasdaq

(Reuters) - Amaya Inc, the owner of online gambling sites PokerStars and Full Tilt, said on Wednesday its shares will begin trading on the Nasdaq on June 8 after getting exchange approval.

The world's largest publicly traded online gaming company, now in the running to buy London-listed online gambling company Bwin.Party Digital Entertainment Plc, disclosed in March it sought a Nasdaq listing to broaden its shareholder base outside its Canadian home market.

Imad Fakhro bagged 206,600 to finish Day 1b of the €1,100 Eureka 5 Hamburg Main Event in chip lead. Although the German couldn't match Day 1a leader Kadir Uzunoglu, he was the only player in today's 111-entry field who managed to get over the 200k mark. Poker pro Bertrand “Elkypoker” Grospellier this weekend competed in the SCOOP 2015 $2K buy-in, finishing in 6th place.  Ultimately it was Jason Mercier who won the online tournament event, racking up a cool $178,457.
