Three More Companies Obtain Nevada Online Gambling Licenses

LAS VEGAS — (Associated Press) - Three more casino operators have been issued a Nevada online poker license.

The state Gaming Control Board on Thursday approved interactive gambling licenses for MGM Online LLC and boutique firms Z4Poker LLC of Las Vegas and Cams LLC of Los Angeles.

His latest spat(s) involve 25-year-old Montreal-based player Pascal Lefrancois, who has won close to $1.3 million in live tournaments to date.

Lefrancois questioned Marafioti regarding his perceived dislike of fellow poker pro Chanracy Kuhn.

High School Coach Wants to Knock Poker Pro Daniel Negreanu’s Teeth Down His Throat

Outspoken poker pro Daniel Negreanu has gotten into it this time with none other than High School Assistant Basketball coach a la Twitter, or so he claims.

The principal of Neumann-Goretti High School in Philadephia confirmed to Gambling911.com following publication of this piece earlier Thursday that one Nicholas Cusato only volunteered briefly at the school and was never employed as an Assistant Basketball Coach as he claims on his Twitter page. 

Cusato somehow managed to get into a Twitter spat with Negreanu, though the origin of this spat was not immediately known.

Full Tilt Poker Money for US Players: The Waiting Game

It appears the year-and-a-half long wait for US players to receive monies owed to them by Full Tilt Poker will be extended…indefinitely. 

Full Tilt Poker reopened its doors to much of the rest of the world last week courtesy of new parent company PokerStars.  The site immediately regained its position as the number two most trafficked online poker room.  Everyone except the US players have been paid a la Stars as part of a settlement agreement reached with the US Government, the later of which holds the monumental task of paying back millions owed to those stateside.

Bwin.Party Head Norbert Teufelberger Released After Belgian Detention

Norbert Teufelberger, the co-founder of Bwin.Party, was released following two hours of questioning by Belgian authorities late Tuesday.

Teufelberger had just finished giving the keynote address at the Responsible Gaming Day conference when authorities came and requested he come with them for questioning after the event at 2 pm local time.  Teufelberger did go voluntarily, a company representative confirmed. 

James Carroll Grabs HPT Vegas Title for $104K

Las Vegas, NV -– Vegas poker pro James Carroll had work to do at Monday’s Heartland Poker Tour Final Table.  He started as the short stack, but the 26-year-old demonstrated what it means to be a pro.  “I still like my chances,” he said before filming the nationally-televised Final Table at Palms Casino Resort.  One hand at a time, he earned every chip at the table and $104,253. 

William Hill to Get More Time for Sportingbet Bid

LONDON (Reuters) - William Hill, Britain's largest bookmaker, will get more time to finalise a proposed 530 million pound ($843 million) offer for online gaming group Sportingbet, sources close to the deal said.

William Hill and smaller partner GVC Holdings won provisional backing for the takeover proposal from the Sportingbet board last month.

The deadline to submit a formal offer is 1700 GMT on November 13 but that is likely to be extended by four weeks to allow more time for due diligence, the sources said on Monday.

Former Zynga VP Ya-Bing Chu Joins Betable

A former Vice President of publicly traded social gaming company Zynga has been hired by startup Betable, it was announced on Monday.

Ya-Bing Chu will be placed in charge of building Betable’s real money platform, which will be available in most countries except for the USA, at least for the time being.  He will also focus on mobile growth for the company.

“This is an opportunity to pioneer this business, and this was too good to pass up,” said Chu.
