Shocking Reveal in Phua Gambling Case: Feds Impersonated Computer Repairmen
In a shocking revelation Wednesday, the New York Post reports that federal agents dressed as computer repairmen in order to gain access to computers used by the father-son tandem of poker players Wei Seng Phua (AKA Paul Phua) and Darren Wai Kit Phua. Both are accused of operating an elaborate World Cup betting ring from their high priced villas in Las Vegas back in July.

The Garden City Group serves as claim administrator on behalf of the U.S. Government in order to facilitate payouts to those owed monies by Full Tilt after they were forced to exit the American market in April 2011.
Millions of dollars were owed to customers of Full Tilt Poker and, to date, the process of repayment has gone smoothly for the most part.

St. Charles, MO - Matt Culberson invested $375 into Heartland Poker Tour's Main Event at Ameristar Casino Resort Spa St. Charles. The local baseball instructor knocked it out of the park and beat a tough field in the nationally-televised tournament, parlaying his investment into $129,147.

Poker Icon Nolan Dalla Goes Off the Deep End
Nolan Dalla went off the deep end this week and the reason: Dan Colman.
Dalla questioned how a young man who has won over $21 million in the past few months could be so down on poker.
“Dan Colman has said poker is wrong, it’s self-destructive,” Dalla says.
And he’s right.
After winning the Big One for One Drop poker event and the $15,306,668 that went with it, Colman showed little in the way of any enthusiasm. Later Colman told the media he did not want to promote poker because “most people lose”.

The Grand Final, of the Seventh Season of the Latin American Poker Tour in Lima, Peru, has come to an end with a new positive for Chile and Oscar Alache. 692 players paid USD $ 1,700 to enter the favorite stage of the regional tournament sponsored by PokerStars.net, in Atlantic City, located Miraflores district. Together they managed to make a prize pool of USD $ $ 1,040,420 to be distributed among the first 103 players. This was the biggest tournament in the history of Peruvian poker. But it was Oscar Alache who felt all the glory of an LAPT title.
WSOP Finalist Andoni Larrabe Declares: ‘I am Going to Win!’
When the final table for the 2014 World Series of Poker Main Event reconvenes next month in Las Vegas at the Rio All-Suites Hotel & Casino, the youngest player at the table will be 22-year-old Andoni Larrabe of Spain.
Don't confuse his young age with a lack of experience though.
According to official tournament records, he's already won more than $340,000 in his career playing live tournament poker.
Among his accomplishments are cashes in three previous WSOP events and winning a big tournament in the Bahamas that earned him just over $218,000.

Sebastian Pauli, 25, of Germany has won the EPT 11 London Main Event beating out Kevin MacPhee head-to-head.
Andrew Chen Wins EPT 11 London £10k High Roller for £394,200
EPT8 Berlin runner-up Andrew Chen has won the EPT 11 London £10k High Roller for £394,200. The 26-year-old Canadian pro scored the second biggest live score of his career when he defeated EPT Grand Final High Roller finalist Fady Kamar heads-up today to claim the title and first place money. Chen, who has been playing EPTs since Season 5, now has more than $4m in live tournament winnings.

You sometimes hear the term “poker rail” and this is essentially the group of onlookers watching a poker game either live or online.
PokerNews.com asks the question during this week’s EPT 11 London event: “Which nation has the craziest railers?”
Among those cited for having the best rail were the Americans, Greeks, Scottish, Irish, Brits and Italians.
Perhaps because the event was taking place in London, the English tended to be named more often than other nationalities.

George Danzer Named 2014 World Series of Poker Player of the Year
German poker pro George Danzer has been named 2014 World Series of Poker Player of the Year, and well deserved we might add.
The 32-year-old, originally from Sao Paulo, Brazil, won his first and second WSOP bracelets earlier in the year while playing in Vegas. These included the $10k Seven Card Stud Hi/Lo and Razz events for combined winnings of nearly $650,000.

Winner of EPT London £10k High Roller Will Receive £394,200
The winner of this season's £10k EPT London High Roller will get £394,200, it was revealed on Friday.
173 players took part in the event. This included 127 unique and 45 re-entries that in turn created the £1,244,600 prize. 27 individuals cashed out as a result. The numbers are down from last year where there were 157 entries last year creating a £1,538,600 prize pool.
Heading into Friday’s play, 2013 PCA finalist Yann Dion was the overnight chip leader with 86 players kicking off Day 2.
2014 WSOP APAC - Jack Salter Leads Final Table
Six players will fight for the top prize Saturday at the 2014 World Series of Poker Asia-Pacific Main Event Final Table.
Jack Salter leads the way coming into Saturday’s final. The top prize for this event will be AU$600,000.
Three of the players remaining come to us from the USA. They are Frank Kassela, Scott Davies and Kyle Montgomery. Henry Wang is from Taiwan while Jack Salter is based out of the UK.
Representing the home nation, it’s Ang Italiano (no this is not being played in Italy, he’s Australian).
Down to 16 at EPT11 London
German player Sebastian Pauli heads a star-studded final 16 for Day 5 of the EPT11 London Main Event. The 25-year-old from Dortmund, who won the €1k NL Turbo Bounty at EPT Barcelona in August for €39,905, has 2,674,000 in chips. Pauli, who also finished fourth in the $2,500 Razz event at the World Series last year, has more than $230k in lifetime tournament winnings.
